GUWAHATI: The State Government has given additional charges to three IAS officers, including the Additional Chief Secretary, besides transferring two ACS officers. The Personnel Department issued an official notification in this regard after approval from the Chief Minister.
According to the notification, Additional Chief Secretary (IAS) Ravi Shankar Prasad is also posted as Chairman, Assam Administrative Tribunal, as an additional charge, besides his existing Environment & Forest and Soil Conservation Departments and Director General, Assam Administrative Staff College.
Dr. John Berchmans Ekka (IAS), Principal Secretary, Panchayat & Rural Development and Tea Tribes Welfare Departments, Assam, is also posted as Principal Secretary to the Tourism Department as an additional charge.
Kausar Jamil Hilaly (IAS), Secretary to the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, is also posted as Secretary to the Social Justice and Empowerment Department as an additional charge.
Rini Hazarika (ACS), Assistant Commissioner, Darrang, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner, Bhergaon.
Biraj Boruah (ACS), Additional District Commissioner, Udalguri, is transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Public Health Engineering Department and Deputy Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, Assam, as an additional charge.
