As per the concurrence of vacancies by the Government of India, the Assam Government promoted two IAS officers to the rank of Chief Secretary (apex scale).

GUWAHATI: As per the concurrence of vacancies by the Government of India, the Assam Government promoted two IAS officers to the rank of Chief Secretary (apex scale).

The Personnel Department issued an official notification in this regard. According to the notification, Dr. Ravi Kota (RR-1993), Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home & Political Department (including Passports, Prisons etc.), and Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department has been promoted and allowed to officiate in the apex scale of the Pay Matrix (Chief Secretary Grade) with immediate effect.

On his promotion, Dr. Ravi Kota is allowed to continue as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home & Political Department (including Passport, Prisons, etc.), and Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department.

Ajay Tewari (RR-1993), now on Central Deputation, is allowed pro forma promotion of the Pay Matrix (Chief Secretary Grade) with immediate effect.
