GUWAHATI: The Axom Unnati Xabha (AUX) and the Axom Xena (AX), under the banner of the AASU (All Assam Students’ Union), have decided to carry forward the economic movement in the state to raise the living standard of each family. The two organizations had their first joint conference in Guwahati today.
The conference took several resolutions, including one to carry forward the economic revolution in the state, besides working for the interests of the indigenous people of the state. They will seek opinions from economic experts in preparing the roadmap for the economic movement.
Chief advisor of the AASU Samujjal Bhattacharjya, president in charge Utpal Sarma, and general secretary Sankor Jyoti Baruah, along with other senior leaders of the AASU and AUX and AX delegates from 30 districts of the state, were present at the conference.
The conference formed a committee of the AUX and AX. Samujjal Bhattacharjya will lead the AUX from the front as its president, with Sarat Hazarika as the general secretary. Bijay Sankar Bordoloi is the chief convener of AXE, which has ten conveners and four advisers.
