CJM Court sent Sharjeel Imam to four more days of police custody

GUWAHATI: The CJM Court here sent Sharjeel Imam to four more days of police custody after his earlier custody also of four days expired on Monday.

The Court further allowed the Assam Police to record Sharjeel’s voice sample. Sharjeel is being interrogated for his seditious statement on the Northeast at an anti-CAA rally in Delhi. Meanwhile, police sources informed that he had stayed at one of his friend’s house in the city four years ago. He also went to Shillong during that trip.
