Follow Siu-Ka-Pha’s Ideals To build A Stronger Assam: CM Sarbananda Sonowal to masses

JORHAT: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal urged the people of Assam to follow the ideals of Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha to build a stronger Assam. He made this call while taking part as the Chief Guest during the ‘Asom Divas’ celebration at the Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha Samannay Kshetra, Mohbandha in Jorhat district on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha was the architect of the greater Assamese society. He laid the foundation of a robust and vibrant Assam through his policy of amity, unity and harmony. The people of Assam must strive hard to embolden the edifice of the State following Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka- Pha’s ideals, he said, adding that the youth must fortify it by developing better work culture.

Further urging the youth to study Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha’s life and works in detail, the Chief Minister said that several efforts were made by the Assam Government to secure the interests and rights of all indigenous communities of the State. He also assured that more steps would be taken to develop Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha Samannay Kshetra in future.

The Chief Minister also stated that right over land was a primary need for safeguarding the interests of the indigenous people.
