Bakijai (default in payment of taxes) clearance certificate is a legal document required for various official works. To get this certificate issued, an applicant needs to move the office of the deputy commissioner/sub-divisional officer (civil)/revenue circle officer he/she belongs to with an application properly filled in. The application is available on payment of Rs 20 in all the three offices mentioned. The application affixed with a court free worth Rs 2 needs to be submitted with an application fee of Rs 60 fulfilling all requirements like passport-size photo copies of the applicant, his up-to-date land revenue clearance receipt, his date of birth, father’s names, permanent address etc. After a proper verification, the bakijai certificate is issued.
