GUWAHATI: The jobless youths of the state who registered their names in the employment exchanges by filling up forms manually have to register their names online by March 31, 2022, when their earlier manual registrations will stand invalid.
The new government in the state took a policy decision for online registration of job seekers in the employment exchange offices in the state. And online registration of unemployed youth was going on in the state since September 2021. However, till March 8, 2022, only 2,61,210 unemployed youths of the state registered their names online against around 19 lakh manual registration.
Skill Development Department sources said that jobless youths who have not yet registered their names online as yet will have to do it by March 31, 2022.
The department said that youths can register their names in the portal of 'Right to Public Services, Government of Assam'.
