Opium seized, 2 arrested by Rangia Police from Balagaon

RANGIA: Acting on a tip-off, Rangia Police arrested two youths from Balagaon on Friday night. A huge quantity of opium worth lakhs of rupees was seized from their possession.

According to Hemanta Haloi, TSI Rangia Police Station, Ikbal Ali of village Balagaon and Mintu Ali of Udiana were involved in different anti-social activities, including buying and selling narcotics. After receiving specific information, police caught them red-handed.

In another incident, Rangia Police arrested one Anjur Ali of village Kumarpata under Rangia Police Station. He and his wife were involved in different cheating cases, police said. Interrogation is going on at Rangia Police Station for further information.
