tiol Press Day observed in Morigaon

MORIGAON, November 16: Along with the rest of the country, the tiol Press Day was observed at Morigaon Press Club on Monday. The Morigaon district administration, in cooperation with Morigaon Press Club, organized a programme on this occasion. Attending as the chief guest, Ainul Hoque, Superintendent of Police, Morigaon said that a jourlist should always be impartial so that he does not publish any biased news. The programme started with hoisting of the flag followed by a floral tribute to martyrs by Ajit Sarma, former secretary, MDJA. On the other hand, a semir on ‘The liability of jourlists in the present situation’ was organized which was iugurated by Pranjit Gogoi, ADC. Besides, the district administration felicitated senior jourlist Deba Mahanta in the programme. The felicitation programme was conducted by Guljarilal Sarma, secretary, MDJA and Mas Kr. th, assistant secretary, MDJA. The meeting was also attended by Upen Deka, senior reporter, Bubumoni Goswami, chairman, MASS and Saibur Rahman, Election Officer.
