Guwahati, June 15: A top member of NDFB(S) central council was apprehended from Tukrajhar in Chirang district during a joint operation by Army and Assam Police today. The rebel has been identified as Sumanta Basumatary alias B Siihang, who is joint secretary of newly formed central council of NDFB(S) and a 42nd batch Bhutan-trained cadre. Siihang is very close to the outfit’s new vice president G Bidai.
