Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and the CMs of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as the Governor of Manipur, in the aftermath of the heavy rainfall that hit several states of the Northeast. During his telephonic conversations, Amit Shah assured all possible help to tackle any ongoing situation.

Regarding his talk over the phone with the Union Home Minister, the Assam CM wrote on his X handle, “Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji called me a short while ago to enquire about the floods in Assam and has offered all possible assistance to deal with the ongoing situation. I have briefed him on the measures being taken, and we are grateful for his concern and support.”

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on his X handle, “Spoke with the Chief Ministers of Assam, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh and the Governor of Manipur in the wake of ongoing heavy rainfall in their states. Also assured them of every possible help to tackle any situation. The Modi government stands like a rock in support of the people of the Northeast.”
