GUWAHATI: Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption arrested Thelamara (Sonitpur district) Circle Officer Barenya Ranjan Barthakur for his alleged involvement in the incident of bribery on September 27, 2021. The Vigilance sleuths had arrested Mandal, Gulzar Hussain, on September 27. Interrogation of accused Gulzar Hussain revealed that he had demanded the bribe following instruction from Circle Officer Barenya Ranjan Barthakur.
