Clash Broke out between two parties in Dibrugarh, Two Died, Three Injured

Dibrugarh: In a sensational incident, two persons were killed when a clash broke out between two parties. As per sources, there was a road accident between a motorcycle and Maruti Swift Dzire (AR-20-4847)at around 10 pm last night near Assam Medical College Road, Paltan Bazaar in Dibrugarh.

Sources informed, some unidentified people tried to stop the car and allegedly attacked the persons who were inside the car, thus, leading to a scuffle between both the parties. The persons who stopped the car were also carrying a sharp dagger, informed sources.

It is to be noted that five persons (all employees of Assam Medical College (AMC) seriously injured) were rushed to AMC. One of them was identified as Dipak Mech was declared brought dead. Another Ratul Bora died in AMC late night. Three more people were reported seriously injured and were identified as Pranjit Bhuyan, Rupam Nath & Manoj Dutta, they are undergoing treatment at AMC.

Meanwhile, the angry public damaged the Swift Dzire car. Later, Police towed the car away.

Soon after the death of two persons, the angry public started searching for the culprits in the nearby lodges, hotels etc. However, Police, Security forces managed the situation.

Dibrugarh DC Pallav Gopal Jha visited AMC and took stock of the situation.

Later, Police had arrested the suspected culprits Gunin Chetia of Laipuli, Tinsukia and another Sonu Ahmed in connection to the incident.

Security forces deployed in the entire area.

Furthermore, the Dibrugarh District Administration has appealed people to maintain peace and law & order. He also appealed all not to pay any heed to rumors.
