Assam: 3,500 new members join UPPL in Bijni and Tamulpur

Over 3,500 new members from different political parties and social organizations joined the ruling UPPL at different places in the districts of Bodoland Territorial Region.

KOKRAJHAR: Over 3,500 new members from different political parties and social organizations joined the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) at different places in the districts of Bodoland Territorial Region today.

In Bijni, 2,000 new members from different political parties, including BPF, GSP, Congress, and social organizations joined the UPPL at a joining programme held at Panbari in Bijni in the presence of CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL President Pramod Boro and several senior party leaders, who welcomed the newly-joined members with party mufflers and traditional Aronai amidst a well-attended gathering on the occasion. In Tamulpur, more than 1500 new members from different political parties under Darrangajuli block joined the UPPL party at a programme held at the Kumarikata. The UPPL party is now gaining popularity amongst the citizens and communities across the region. CEM Boro hailed the new members and welcomed them to the UPPL family. “UPPL party continues to be the first choice for the people of BTR as it has been rendering services towards the welfare and development of the society. This was reaffirmed at Panbari Bazar, as persons from all walks of life joined our party at a grand joining programme after being inspired by various developmental works undertaken by our government in the last 5 years. I’m glad to welcome them to the party and urge them to dedicate themselves to serving the people of BTR,” Boro said.
