BOKAKHAT: The grand Bokakhat Book Fair 2025, Art Discourse, and Drama Festival, a convergence of intellectual, cultural, linguistic, literary, and artistic expressions, concluded on Wednesday at the Bokakhat Natya Mandir premises. The event was organized by the Pryas Adhyayan Chakra with the support of the conscious citizens of Bokakhat.

The festival ended with the staging of the widely-discussed play ‘Neeta Ambani,’ based on a story by Apu Bharadwaj. The performance left the Neelmani Phukan Kshetra in a solemn atmosphere. Over the five days of the book fair, which began on March 22, the stalls and all the scheduled programmes witnessed an overwhelming response from book lovers, making it a significant aspect of the event.

Throughout the past four days, students from various educational institutions in Bokakhat actively participated. This morning, students of Bokakhat Higher Secondary School carried out a cleanliness drive at the fairground. Following this, a discussion titled ‘Women and Gender Diversity,’ in memory of Chandraprabha Saikiani and Kamla Bhasin, was held, featuring gender rights activist Bandita Mrina and eminent writer Juri Bora Borgohain as speakers.
