MANGALDAI: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Darrang organized an awareness programme at Mangaldai Government BEd College. The programme, presided over by Professor Tapan Kumar Sharma, featured a keynote address by Motor Vehicle Inspector Bitupan Kalita on the Motor Vehicle Act, Road Safety Rules, traffic signs, and the dangers of drunk driving. Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Darrang Shatabdi Bhuyan and the Chief Legal Defence Counsel Mridul Sharma provided insightful information about the Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal ) Act, 2013. The event also included discussion and distribution of the NALSA handbook on POSH Act -'Speak Up', aiming to promote awareness and empower individuals to speak up against sexual harassment. The meeting was well-attended by faculty members and the staff of Mangaldai Government BEd College, as well as teachers on deputation pursuing their BEd from the institution.
