JAMUGURIHAT: Pallabita Das Hazarika, wife of Pinjum Hazarika, a resident of Kumarchuk, Jamugurihat brings laurels to the state and to Jamugurihat area as well, by winning the Bollywood Iconic Star Award in a recently concluded national level competition organized by Rhythm Event and Management Pvt Ltd in Mumbai.
A total of 8 students of her Nrityam Dance Academy, Jamugurihat, also shone in the national forum and won prizes in different categories.
Tanaya Bharali of Nrityam Dance Academy won the first prize in solo dance competition, Dimitra Hazarika won the best award in a Bihu event, Swadhinata Roy won the best prize in hip-hop while Dakhina Medhi won the first prize in the Bharat Natyam event and Kriti Kangkana Bora won the first prize in modern dance competition. Sima Devi won the first prize in semi-classical dance, Priya Sarma bagged the first prize in Tiwa dance, and Nikhita Nandini Das and Alankrita Sarma bagged the first prize in modern dance competition.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pallabita Das Hazarika founded Nrityam Dance Academy in 2016 at Jamugurihat. A good number of students of her school have already attained certificates of Nritya Bisharad already. She imparts dance classes at Jatiya Vidyalaya located at Railgate, Biswanath Chariali. Organizations and individuals of the greater Naduar area have conveyed best wishes to her on her achievement.
