HAFLONG: In its efforts to empower women and girls, Assam Rifles recently conducted a three-day Self Defence Capsule from January 29 to 31 at Haflong, Dima Hasao district in Assam through the Rashtriya Raksha University. The participants were taught various martial arts stances to safeguard them from potential threats.
Later on, an interactive workshop was held which covered psychological aspects of self-defence, stress management, and quick decision-making under pressure.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 70 women, 20 students, and 13 Riflewomen who were trained by Dejadi Naiding, a silver medallist in State MMA competition and gold medallist in Jiu Jitsu at National Level and assisted by Ringbina Kemprai.
After completion of the event, the participants received a participation certificate and expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for the event.
