TINSUKIA: The Spear Corps launched a training initiative for Upper Assam Youth in tourism and hospitality. In a significant commitment to community welfare, Spear Corps has organized a registration drive for youth in Upper Assam, focusing on employment opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry. In collaboration with PragatiEdutech, Guwahati, this initiative offers three-month fully sponsored residential courses. A total of 38 candidates participated in the registration held at Rupai in Tinsukia district on Tuesday. Funded by OIL, the programme aims to equip youth, particularly from remote tea tribes, with essential hospitality skills and guaranteed job placements, along with six months of post-placement tracking.
This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s dedication to fostering local development and integration into mainstream society. By enhancing the skill sets of local youth, it aims to boost their confidence and impact within their communities while strengthening ties with the Indian Army.
