Assam: Two bike lifters apprehended at Sootea

JAMUGURIHAT: Acting on a tip off, a team of Sootea police headed by Trilochan Das, Officer In-Charge of Sootea Police Station, managed to apprehend two motorcycle lifters identified as Samim Hussain and Ajay Musahari and recovered a stolen bike bearing register number AS12 U 4576 from Kherbari today. Based on secret information, the Sootea police team carried out a search operation in the house of one Samim Hussain, a resident of Kherbari, Diplong and recovered a motorcycle at his residence. He revealed that he had bought the motorcycle from one Ajay Musahari, a resident of Ghahi Farm. Both of them failed to produce valid documents of the motorcycle during the police interrogation and were arrested and later sent to jail.
