TEZPUR: As per information received from Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Shillong, the Indian Army has invited online applications from unmarried male candidates for selection as Agniveers for recruiting year 2025-26 under Agnipath scheme. The window for online registration for the recruiting year 2025-26 will remain open from March 12 to April 10. For this purpose, Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Shillong has invited applications from eligible candidates from four districts of Central Assam namely, Sonitpur, Nagaon, Marigaon, and Biswanath.
It is to be noted that the recruitment of Agniveers will be carried out in two phases. In Phase-l, Online Computer Based Written Examination (Online CEE) will be conducted at selected centres in the state, followed by Phase-ll wherein Recruitment Rally will be conducted for selected candidates (shortlisted) who make it to merit list in online Common Entrance Examination.
Regarding the process of online application, the candidates can register online on ‘Join Indian Army’ website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in to check their eligibility and create a personal profile. The candidates, on successful filling of the application, will be directed to SBI portal through a link on the website to make payment of Rs 250 plus bank charges as applicable. The payment can be made through various payment options like debit/credit cards, online banking, or UPI. Candidates will be required to have an active email & mobile number which will be used for further communication by the Indian Army. Candidates will have to select five choices for the exam centre and will need to enter their Aadhaar number in the online application and are advised to link their Aadhaar to their mobile number.
To provide candidates practice on online CEE as per their category, a category-wise link has been provided on ‘Join Indian Army’ website. Candidates are advised to practice at least once before appearing for the actual CEE. For the ease of the candidates, animated videos on ‘How to Register’ and ‘How to Appear for Online CEE’ are also available on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates can apply for any two categories based on their eligibility during online registration.
