Meghalaya Registers 603 New COVID Cases

SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Thursday registered 603 new COVID-19 cases, which pushed the tally of active cases to 5,015, the health department said. Meanwhile, the State also recorded 427 recovered cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the tally of the total recovered cases has reached 34,867.

Moreover, 10 more persons succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from COVID-19 to 704. Out of the 10 deaths, as many as 6 were reported from East Khasi Hills, and two cases each were registered in East Jaintia Hills and West Jaintia Hills.
