Meghalaya records 11 COVID deaths, 411 fresh infections

SHILLONG: Meghalaya recorded another 11 COVID-19 deaths and 411 fresh infections while 707 recovered from the virus, health authorities said. According to health authorities, of the 11 new deaths, six were not vaccinated.

East Khasi Hills district recorded eight of the fatalities, East Jaintia Hills district, Ri-Bhoi district and West Jaintia Hills district recorded one case each. With the latest figures, the total number of fatalities has reached 1185, the total number of active cases is 4,427 and so far 64,157 have recovered from the virus.

Of the 411 new cases, East Khasi Hills district recorded 216, West Garo Hills district 66, West Khasi Hills district 38, Ri-Bhoi district 23, West Jaintia Hills district 22, South West Khasi Hills 13, East Garo Hills district 12, North Garo Hills district 10, South West Garo Hills district five, South Garo Hills district four and East Jaintia Hills district two.
