Assam Rifles recovers contraband drugs worth Rs. 4.7 lakhs in Mizoram

Zokhawthar: The Assam Rifles troops have seized around 119 gms of heroin from general area Zokhawthar in Champai district of Mizoram. One drug peddler was arrested after recovering heroin worth Rs. 4.7 lakhs on Thursday.

The Assam Rifles troops handed over the arrested peddler and the recovered contraband drugs to the police.

The Twitter account of Assam Rifles posted saying,

"#AssamRifles troops in Mizoram apprehended a drug peddler from general area Zokhawthar in Champhai district on 22 Oct recovering 119 gms of Heroin(worth approx Rs 4.7 Lakhs). Apprehended and recovered contraband handed over to the Police."
