Two teens arrested after late-night altercation turns deadly in Jangpura
Delhi: According to Delhi Police, the 42-year-old was involved in a heated altercation with two teenagers after a dispute regarding the parking of a scooter escalated. During the confrontation, one of the accused allegedly attacked Asif Qureshi with a sharp pointed object, believed to be a poker, fatally striking him in the chest.
An FIR has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and investigations are currently ongoing. The accused have been identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), both of whom have since been apprehended by the police.
Local residents expressed shock over the violence, noting the increasing frequency of disputes in the area turning aggressive.
Family members of Qureshi, who was reportedly well-regarded in the community, have yet to issue a statement.
