Assam: LPG Consumers Asked to Complete Aadhaar e-KYC by 16th August

LPG distributors across the state have urged consumers to complete the process well in advance to avoid any disruption

Guwahati: The Domestic LPG consumers in Assam have been advised to complete their Aadhaar-based electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification by  16th August  to continue receiving subsidised cooking gas cylinders.

Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have made the e-KYC process mandatory for all domestic LPG consumers as part of a nationwide verification drive aimed at streamlining beneficiary records and preventing misuse of government subsidies.

Consumers who fail to complete the verification before the deadline may lose their subsidy benefits and could be required to purchase LPG cylinders at the higher non-subsidised price.

LPG distributors across the state have urged consumers to complete the process well in advance to avoid any disruption in subsidy payments or delays in future refills. The verification can be completed by visiting an authorised LPG distributor with Aadhaar and consumer details or through the official mobile applications of the respective service providers.

Indane customers can use the IndianOil ONE app, while HP Gas and Bharatgas users can complete the process through HP Pay and the Bharatgas mobile application using biometric or facial authentication, wherever available.

LPG authorities have appealed to consumers not to wait until the final days and to complete the verification promptly to ensure uninterrupted access to subsidised LPG cylinders.
