DIBRUGARH: In a major boost to the city's infrastructure, the much-awaited Thana Chariali Road Over Bridge (ROB) and the Convoy Road Flyover are expected to be inaugurated on April 23, 2025.
As the inauguration day inches closer, residents are hopeful that these significant projects will reduce traffic congestion and enhance connectivity across Dibrugarh.
The Thana Chariali Road Over Bridge is being raised over the railway line near the bustling Mancotta Road and is expected to ease congestion drastically in one of the city's busiest areas.
On the other hand, the Convoy Road Flyover, connecting directly to the National Highway, is likely to reduce long traffic jams and provide faster access to major city points and neighboring towns.
The final inspections and touch-up work are being monitored by officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and district administration in order to ensure a smooth inauguration.
Expressing optimism, the locals are hoping that these transformative infrastructure projects will substantially improve road safety, bring down travel time and fulfill the rising urban needs of the region.
