AASU, 30 other ethnic organizations to hold anti-CAA torchlight processions on Feb 8

GUWAHATI: The AASU (All Assam Students’ Union), 30 other ethnic organizations of the State, the AJYCP (Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva-Chatra Parishad) and the artiste fraternity have announced their next phase of agitation against the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act).

On February 8 all these organizations, together with the people of the State will take out torchlight processions in all district headquarters in the State against the Central government imposing the contentious Act on the people of Assam, forcibly. AASU adviser-in-chief Samujjal Bhattacharya said, “We’re going to stage uninterrupted, well-disciplined and non-violent agitations against the discriminatory Act.”
