All Assam Law Students’ Union appeals to Health Ministry for safety of health workers

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Law Students’ Union (AALSU), on Saturday, requested the State Health Ministry to make the supply and manufacturing chain of protective gears ready for the coming days, in view of the corona outbreak.

The body also requested the corporate sector to make humble donations.

In a release, All Assam Law Students’ Union stated that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suits must be made mandatory for all doctors and nurses who have a high risk of getting infected by the virus. It added that the Assam government can set an example by providing suits, hand sanitizers, face shields, and all the necessary equipments to tackle the outbreak. Further, it appealed to the people of the State to cooperate with the authorities and stay inside their houses for the safeguard of everyone.
