GUWAHATI: The District Administration classified the area encircling Hotel Rajkamal at Fancy Bazar as containment zone, on Tuesday.
Any unauthorized entry and exit to the notified containment zone is barred till the area is declared safe as per guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The boundary of the containment zone is: North- MG Road, South – Tarun Ram Phukon Road, Eas – SRCB Road, West – MS Road.
As the entrance of GMC Market Complex falls on the Tarun Ram Phukon Road, the entire activity in the market complex has been prohibited from Tuesday.
The decision was taken after a person from the area was tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
