612 women get no-dues certificates, 986 flood-hit families get aid, 68 get seed capital

GUWAHATI: Under the ‘12 Days Initiative’ of the Assam Government, supported by schemes from the Departments of Education, Industry, Finance, and Revenue, various benefits and certificates were distributed to eligible beneficiaries in the Kamrup Metropolitan District today.
The distribution programme was organized at the Guwahati District Library Auditorium, where Atul Bora, the Guardian Minister of Kamrup (M) and Minister of Agriculture and Excise, distributed benefits such as initial capital under the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Seed Capital Scheme, as well as incentives under the Microfinance Support and Relief Scheme.
Participating in the programme as the chief guest, Minister Bora highlighted the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, under whose guidance the state government has undertaken initiatives to place Assam among the top five states in India. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his significant contributions toward transforming Assam into a prosperous state.
As part of the programme, as many as 612 women beneficiaries under the Assam Microfinance Incentive and Relief Scheme received no-dues certificates. As many as 986 flood-affected families were provided with financial assistance. This apart, 68 beneficiaries received seed capital under the PMFME Seed Capital Scheme. The event was attended by Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania, Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, and others.
