Assam: Adivasi Welfare Council Launches Website in State

GUWAHATI: In a move aimed at accelerating developmental initiatives for Adivasi and Tea Tribe communities in Assam, the Administrative Office of the Deputy Chief Executive Member (Dy. CEM) of the Assam Welfare Development Council (AWDC) has been established at House No. 01, Rodali Path, Panjabari, near SBI Bank Panjabari-37. The newly inaugurated office will serve as the central hub for all official and developmental activities for the Adivasi and Tea Tribe communities under the Government of Assam.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dy. CEM Pitar Dang and executive member Dipen Nayak, who formally opened the office to the public. As part of the ceremony, the official website of the AWDC, https://www.awdc.in.net, was also launched, enabling seamless digital access to information and services. The AWDC Dy. CEM’s office will be pivotal in implementing welfare schemes, addressing community concerns, and ensuring effective execution of developmental projects. This initiative reaffirms the Government of Assam’s commitment to the progress and empowerment of Adivasi and Tea Tribe communities, stated a press release.
