Guwahati: The Finance (Establishment-B) Department of Assam has issued an office order stating that employees under the department are no longer required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to apply for posts in other government organizations. According to the order, incumbents currently serving in the Finance (Estt.-B) Department and its directorates can apply to other State or Central Government departments without requiring a prior NOC. However, they must still inform their current department through the proper channel about any such application. In cases where an NOC is mandatory from the employer, the applicant may obtain it from the department by citing the requirement. Previously, it was observed that while applying for various posts advertised by different government departments, organizations, institutions, commissions, etc., incumbents already employed under the government were required to produce an NOC.
