GUWAHATI: In its letter to state Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu, the All Assam State Pool Teachers’ Association said that due to technical glitches in the Shiksha Setu portal, several teachers could not apply for intra- and inter-district transfer, including mutual transfer, within the stipulated date. According to the letter, anomalies like the non-updation of profiles and the wrong updation of the records of many teachers on the Shiksha Setu portal do not allow the fresh updation of teachers’ profiles on the portal for their transfer.
An SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) published by the Education Department mentioned that the teachers regularised under the special recruitment drive would get the opportunity for transfer in this drive. However, the assurance given in the SOP is not followed in this transfer drive, the letter said.
