GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has taken stern action against commercial establishments and residents of Maligaon Goshala for flouting municipal regulations. The penalties were imposed for various offences, including littering in public places, failing to display trade licenses visibly, and not having proper agreements with GMC-authorised waste management agencies.

The GMC has reiterated that such violations are punishable and has urged businesses and residents to comply with municipal norms to maintain cleanliness and order in the city. The corporation has also warned that continued violations will lead to further penalties, emphasizing the importance of adhering to regulations. The enforcement drive is part of the GMC's efforts to maintain a clean and orderly environment in Guwahati.
