Assam Government Deputes IPS Officer Thube Prateek Vijaykumar to NIA for Five Years

The Assam government has approved the deputation of IPS officer Thube Prateek Vijaykumar to the NIA for five years. He is currently serving as the Joint Commissioner of Police in Guwahati.

Dispur: The Government of Assam has approved the deputation of Thube Prateek Vijaykumar, IPS (AM-2013), currently serving as the Joint Commissioner of Police (I/C), Guwahati, to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The order, issued by the Home (A) Department of Assam, places his services at the disposal of NIA for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Vijaykumar, who was substantively posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) in Guwahati, will assume the role of Superintendent of Police at the NIA. The officer is expected to hand over his current responsibilities and take charge of his new post immediately.

The move is in line with the Ministry of Home Affairs' directives, as per its letter dated November 14.

The notification was issued by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home & Political Departments, and communicated to relevant state and central authorities, including the Director General of Police, Assam, and officials within the Ministry of Home Affairs.
