GUWAHATI: Assam Police Sishu Mitra is set to host “Infantia,” India’s first national dialogue on children’s rights on the internet, on April 7, 2025, in Guwahati. The event, which will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, is being organized in collaboration with PIIR Foundation, a non-profit focused on children’s rights online, and is supported by UNICEF India.
The national event builds on the success of Assam Police’s award-winning #DontBeASharent campaign and will focus on protecting children’s rights in the digital world. It will also highlight how online spaces are shaping childhood today. Director General of Police, Assam, Harmeet Singh, will deliver the keynote address, emphasizing the need to go beyond policing and policy to become protectors of childhood in all its evolving forms.
Bollywood Actor and parenting influencer Neha Dhupia will come and talk on how films, OTT, and internet culture influenced children. Kapil Bora and Zerifa Wahid will explore parenting in today’s digital age.
