BOKO: ”Rabha Hasong Joutha Mancha (RHJM) and BJP will jointly contest in the forthcoming Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) election,” said Sumit Rabha, Executive Member of RHAC. Rabha said that the BJP government supports the present council, and therefore many development works have been done in the RHAC area with the help of the BJP-led government. During an inauguration ceremony of a public meeting hall construction in Kenduguri village under 27 No. Boko Council Constituency (CC), Sumit Rabha, Executive Member of the Constituency, emphasized that the RHJM will form the new committee of the RHAC alliance with the BJP-led government.
“Though it is not yet clear how many seats will be shared with the BJP, the alliance with the BJP is still there, will remain in the upcoming elections, and a new committee of RHAC will be formed,” added Sumit Rabha. He also said that the RHAC elections will be held next month (March). However, they have no strong opponent so far. “The Congress party is an opponent, but they do not get any seats in the RHAC election for the reason that the BJP-led double engine government has been ruling in Assam as well as in India. So, for the forthcoming RHAC election, we don’t have any strong opposition party,” added Rabha.
Ankur Kakati, Organising Secretary of ARSU Kamrup District Committee, Dibya Rabha, Secretary of the ARSU Boko Regional Committee, and many other guests and villagers took part in the programme. During the inauguration ceremony, Sumit Rabha said that the preparations are going on, and since the election will be held in March, preparations will continue in full swing after February 20.
