GUWAHATI: The BJP Assam Pradesh has sought suggestions from the public for their inclusion in the panchayat poll manifesto. The panchayat poll will be held in the state on May 2 and 7, 2025. The state BJP has initiated a comprehensive and inclusive approach towards the development of its election manifesto. As part of this process, a key meeting of the Sankalp (Manifesto) Committee was convened on the night of April 5 at the BJP state headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan. The meeting was chaired by state BJP president and Member of Parliament Dilip Saikia and was attended by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass and MP Rameswar Teli, along with other senior party leaders and office bearers.
The primary focus of the meeting was to strategise on policy directions and developmental priorities for rural Assam. A key resolution adopted during the discussion was to seek direct inputs and suggestions from the public to ensure that the upcoming manifesto reflects the true aspirations of the people.
In this regard, Dilip Saikia has issued a public appeal, encouraging citizens from all walks of life to contribute their ideas, feedback, and recommendations for the Panchayat manifesto.
