Guwahati: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has announced a 4-day training programme on Deori language teaching. Scheduled to be held at DIET, Lakhimpur from June 10 to June 13, the training is aimed at equipping teachers from newly introduced Deori medium schools with the necessary language teaching skills.
In an official notification, issued by Director of SCERT, Assam, Dr. Nirada Devi, stated that the initiative is part of the Government of Assam’s larger effort to implement the introduction of six new mediums of instruction, Mising, Rabha, Tiwa, Deori, Dimasa, and Karbi, in schools across the state. This move aligns with the direction of the Education Minister Ranoj Pegu.
