GUWAHATI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) will start a protest program Jagao Axom Bachao Axom on January 7 across the state.
The protest is against the Citizenship Amendment Bill-2016 forwarded by the Central Government. They will hold a torch-march protest during the evening on Monday.
In Guwahati, APCC will observe the protest program centrally. The APCC has decided to support the citizens’ Forum against the Citizenship Amendment Bill-2016 which will be observed as dhikkar diwas (condemnation day) on Monday.
