GUWAHATI: Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu visited Krishna KantaHandiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) on Saturday and interacted with university officials. Along with Dr. Pegu, a team of Education Department officials, including State Education Advisor Nani Gopal Mahanta and Additional Chief Secretary Biswaranjan Samal (IAS), also visited the City Campus of the University at Khanapara. The team has interacted with the Vice Chancellor of KKHSOU, Prof.Rajendra Prasad Das, the Registrar of the University, Dr. Arup Jyoti Choudhury, the Controller of Examinations, Dr.Bhabaranjan Sarmah, the Directors of Different Schools, and other officials. Dr. Ranoj Pegu, during the interaction, put emphasis on quality education with special attention to conducting fair and transparent examinations. He assured complete assistance from district management and police administration in this regard. Dr. Pegu further stressed the implementation of the Teaching Management System. He also asked the university to take quick initiatives to introduce the B. Ed. programme along with other existing curricula. During the interaction, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof.Rajendra Prasad Das, briefed the audience about the implementation of NEP, revenue generation, and other emerging challenges facing the university, stated a press release.
