Guwahati: To mitigate disasters caused by floods, earthquakes, landslides, and climate change, the district administration has taken several proactive measures. As part of these initiatives, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), in collaboration with the Kamrup Metropolitan District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), organised a street play titled “Bator Nat-2 for a Safer Assam.”.
The performance was held today in the premises of the Dispur Revenue Circle Office. The play, “Our Planet, Our Responsibility,” was presented by Jyotisman Natyagosthi, a theatre group from Kamrup Metropolitan.
Through this street play, the performers aimed to raise awareness among the public about their responsibilities towards the planet and the actions needed to ensure environmental sustainability and disaster preparedness. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Mridusmita Bora, project officer of ASDMA; Kaustubh Talukdar, district project officer; as well as officials and others.
