Guwahati: As Assam gears up to celebrate Rongali Bihu, leaders of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) extended warm wishes to the people of the state. Interacting with the media, AGP president Atul Bora highlighted the importance of the upcoming Panchayat elections, calling it a “political test for all parties.” He expressed confidence in a favourable outcome for AGP, citing the party’s alliance with the NDA and the government’s continued commitment to development.

Meanwhile, AGP executive president Keshav Mahanta also greeted the people on the occasion of Rongali Bihu and Assamese New Year. Speaking at the party headquarters in Ambari, Mahanta wished peace, happiness, and prosperity for every household in the state. He emphasized the importance of unity among Assam’s diverse communities and announced that the upcoming year would be celebrated as the “Year of the Mother Tongue.”

Both leaders reiterated AGP’s ongoing efforts toward strengthening the party and contributing to the state’s progress.
