Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II, has released the tentative schedule for internal examinations for Higher Secondary (HS) 1st Year and Final Year students for the academic session 2025-26. The notification issued outlines for the exam structure and timeline for both classes XI and XII.
According to the official notification, the HS 1st Year (Class XI) exam will start from August 2025 which will be the 1st unit test of 25 marks. Half yearly/terminal exam will be held in November of 50 marks, 2nd unit test will be held in January 2026 again of 25 marks and finally the annual exam, will be conducted before March 31, 2026 and results will be declared by April 10, 2026.
For the HS final year exams the 1st unit test will be held in August, followed by half yearly exams in November, revision test (for appearing for HS Final Exam) in January 2026 and final examination in February/March 2026. The results will be declared by April 25, 2026.
The board emphasized that only theory examinations will be held for the HS Final Year, and marks for each subject will align with the HS Final Exam syllabus. Additionally, the board clarified that unit tests, half-yearly, and revision exams will be conducted in Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools under ASSEB Division-II. And half-yearly and revision tests will also be conducted in colleges under the same division.
