GUWAHATI: BJP Assam Pradesh president Dilip Saikia visited the AGP headquarters at Ambari in Guwahati today and said that the BJP-AGP tie-up is not a fragile one, and the two parties have pledged to go forward with their hands entwined.
The AGP leaders welcomed Saikia. AGP president Atul Bora said, ‘The need of the hour is a stronger BJP-AGP tie-up to ensure an unstoppable and all-round development of the state.’
The AGP had its extended executive meeting today. The meeting discussed issues like the forthcoming panchayat election and autonomous council polls in detail. Atul Bora appealed to the grassroots-level workers of the party to keep in touch with the people.
AGP working president Keshab Mahanta and other leaders, and the leaders of other wings of the regional party, were also present at the meeting.
