GUWAHATI: Basistha Police arrested a burglar, Saddam Ali, from Sonbari in the Baksa district. Ali stole goods from the house of Durgeswar Deka in the Brindavan Path in the Basistha area a few days ago.
Based on his confessional statement, the police raided Khanka under Hatigaon Police Station and seized a gold chain, a pair of earrings, six pairs of bangles, 120 silver jhumkas, besides other items.
The police identified Saddam Ali from the footage of CCTV camera.
