GUWAHATI: Dispur police arrested a man posing as a spiritual healer from the Anand Plaza area in Ganeshguri, following a series of complaints alleging fraud and deception. The accused has been identified as Baba Mastan Khan, who also goes by the name Mohsin Khan.

According to police sources, the man operated a fake chamber within Anand Plaza, where he posed as a ‘tantrik’ offering spiritual solutions for issues such as love marriages, foreign travel, and various health-related problems. Claiming to use rituals and spells, he allegedly manipulated vulnerable individuals into paying him large sums of money.

Police officials revealed that Baba Mastan primarily targeted people suffering from chronic illnesses or personal distress, exploiting their desperation for relief. Victims were misled into believing that his so-called spiritual interventions would bring miraculous results.

During the arrest operation, authorities seized several incriminating items from the chamber, which are believed to have been used in his fraudulent practices. Legal proceedings have been initiated.
