GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has issued a notice urging property owners with pending taxes for 7-8 years or dues amounting to Rs 1 lakh and above to clear at least 50% of their outstanding payments by March 30, 2025.
According to the directive, the remaining dues can be settled by June 30, 2025, but will incur a penalty. The move aims to improve tax collection and ensure compliance among defaulters.
GMC officials have emphasized the importance of timely payments to avoid further financial burden and potential legal action. Property owners are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clear their dues before the penalty deadline.
