GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Police is grilling the wife of arrested drug peddler Arun Yadav on suspicion of her involvement in the drug racket.
The Special Operation Group (SOG) under the Central Police District seized 599 gm heroin valued at around Rs 1.5 crore from Yadav's shop at Birubari here on Saturday night.
The police's suspicion towards Yadav's wife arose after knowing that she is a native of Manipur. It is to be noted that a huge portion of drugs is smuggled from Manipur to Assam.
